Your data, in plain language.

An account, only if you publish. Browsing, building and previewing a deck in the Studio needs no account. Publishing does — sign-in is handled by Clerk, a third-party authentication provider, which holds your email address and basic account details on our behalf. Unfold's own servers never see or store your password.

The decks and media you make. While you're working, a deck lives only in your own browser's local storage — nothing is sent to us until you publish. A published deck (and any pictures or clips it uses) is stored with Vercel Blob, our storage provider, at a public URL anyone with the link can open.

Published decks aren't linked to your account. There is no database tying a published deck back to who published it — publishing just needs you to be signed in at that moment. This is good for privacy, but it also means we can't currently look up "your" decks or take one down without you sending us the link (see Removing something you published below).

What you type to the AI assistant. If you use the Studio's AI assist, your prompt and the relevant parts of your deck are sent to our AI processing providers — Groq and Cloudflare Workers AI — to generate a response. This only happens when you actively use that feature.

What you send us directly. The contact form stores your name (if you give one), email address and message, so we can read and reply to it.

Unfold sets no advertising or analytics cookies — there is no analytics on this site at all. The only cookies in play are Clerk's own authentication cookies, set solely if you sign in, so the site knows you're signed in from one request to the next.

Only the providers that make the product work, each under their own privacy policy:

• Clerk — sign-in and account management.
• Vercel — hosting, and Blob storage for published decks and media.
• Groq and Cloudflare — process AI-assist requests, only when you use that feature.

We don't sell data, and we don't share it with anyone else.

There's no self-serve delete button yet — email hello@tuliq.app with the published link, and we'll remove it. The same address works for asking what data we hold about you, or asking us to delete a contact-form message.

Unfold isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

If this page changes in a way that matters, the effective date at the top will change with it. We won't make that change quietly.
