Unfold vs Google Slides: which one fits your presentation?
Google Slides is genuinely excellent at one thing Unfold doesn't do yet: several people editing the same deck live, at the same time. If that's what you need, it's the right tool. Unfold's trade-off is the opposite kind of focus — a single editor shaping a deck built to move (staged entrances, camera pans, counting charts) that publishes as its own web page instead of a Google Doc–style link.
Google Slides is Google's free, real-time collaborative slide editor.

Pick Unfold when…
- You want a deck that visibly moves — counting stats, staged reveals, camera motion — without wiring it up yourself.
- You want the published result to feel like a real page, not an embedded document.
- You're starting from a story type rather than a blank deck.
Pick Google Slides when…
- Multiple people need to edit the same deck at the same time.
- It needs to live inside Google Workspace, next to Docs and Sheets.
- You want comment threads and granular version history.
Questions people ask
Does Unfold support real-time collaboration like Google Slides?
Not yet — Unfold is single-editor today. If live co-editing is what you need most, Google Slides is the better fit right now.
